Our Staff

 Our teachers are trained and registered by Music Together® LLC.  They are knowledgeable and passionate about early childhood music development and strive to create a fun, informal, social setting that encourages adult participation and supports each child's individual spiral of music learning.

Nancy Nuttle, Director/Instructor, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from the University of Maryland.  She completed 15 successful years of elementary general music instruction for Montgomery County Public Schools and has sung professionally. Assistant Director for the Maryland Center for the Arts at Goucher College from 1985 through 1998, Nancy was also Administrative Assistant for the Maryland Artist/Teacher Institute, 2000-2015.  Trained at the Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, by Ken Guilmartin, she is a registered and certified Music Together Teacher as well as a Music Together international teacher trainer.  Nancy is the mother of three children.

Colleen Reed has been enjoying Music Together classes with her son Lincoln since 2006 and completed Music Together teacher training in March 2008. A flutist for almost 30 years, she teaches flute and performs professionally. Colleen's performances include folk dances with her band Gypsy Meltdown and she loves to improvise. She has also performed in a fife and drum group, flute choirs and chamber groups. She is excited to make music together with you!

Rose McConnell is a graduate of The Catholic University of America and The Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory. She has sung professionally and plays piano and guitar. She is a professional actor in DC and has performed at The Studio Theatre, Round House Theatre, Forum Theatre and others. She is a Company Member of Forum Theatre. Rose completed the Music Together teacher training in March 2010 and has loved taking Music Together classes with her two boisterous boys since 2003.

Catherine Liddle spent six years as a Music Together parent participant before completing her teacher training in 2009. In 2014, she was awarded Music Together Certification Level I by the Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, NJ. Currently, most of the music she makes is with her two children, but she played organ for 15 years and sang in evensong choirs in college and graduate school. She has a Master's degree in Linguistics from the University of Oxford with an interest in children's language acquisition. She has been a member of Delta Omicron International Music Fraternity since 1984.

Ellen has a B.Mus. from Oberlin Conservatory and an M.Mus. from the University of Maryland. She performs early music, cabaret, opera, operetta, musical theatre and chamber music throughout the Washington area, and can be heard weekly as a section leader and soloist at both All Soul's Episcopal Church in Woodley Park and St. Matthew's Cathedral. Her first love is education - she has spent more than 20 years running a private music studio, where she teaches voice, piano, music appreciation classes and sightreading. She went to her first Music Together class in 2008 with her oldest son, and was hooked right away; she completed Music Together teacher training in 2013, and continues to attend classes with her youngest child.

Elizabeth Rosenberg was introduced to Music Together when she attended classes as a caregiver for an individual with developmental disabilities. She has a Bachelors in Community Health and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland. Her love of singing has grown through attending and working at Girl Scout camps, signing in acapella groups, and participating in Music Together classes. Elizabeth is excited and honored to join the Music Together Montgomery family!

Jessica Sniffin has a BA in Music with an education focus. She is learning to play guitar and ukulele, but voice is her main instrument. She sings all day, everyday, and is excited to share her love of music as a new Music Together teacher!

Ana Rigal has a Bachelor degree in Music-Therapy from Salvador University in Buenos Aires, Argentine. She also studied 4 years of Classic guitar in the Conservatory of Music in Argentina and she enjoys choir singing and playing the piano. Ana was first introduced to Music Together classes in 2009, when she enjoyed participating in the program with her oldest daughter. She completed the Music Together training in December 2017 and she is excited to share her love for the music with you.
